May 23-24 1:30 – 4:30 (Two-day), 3h workshop @X513
DETAILS & PARTICIPATION (max. 40) : https://creative.sogang.ac.kr/cc/
DESCRIPTION & EXPECTED OUTCOMES
A hologram is a special kind of image that contains multitudes – various points of view, sometimes even different moments in time. It is also incredibly hard to create, requiring specialized equipment and lots of precision. Luckily for us, machine learning systems have made it possible to simulate holographic behavior, transforming conventional pictures and videos into 3-dimensional volumes. In this workshop, participants will learn some of these techniques and how to incorporate them into media production pipelines based on applications such as Unreal Engine and Touchdesigner. In the end, we will create an interactive holographic environment to test our skills.
REQUIRED TOOLS
RealityScan, Lichtfeld Studio, Supersplat, Unreal Engine 5.3, VideoDepthEverything, Touchdesigner.
PARTICIPANT BACKGROUND
The workshop will be taught in English. Basic experience with 3D environment and/or media production tools is preferred.
