Team BBB, consisting of budding game developers from the Department of Art & Technology—Gwonyeong Lim (A&T ’18), Hojin Kim (A&T ’18), Bumgyun Shin (A&T ’18), Chae-hyun Kim (A&T ’19), and Jinyong Choi (A&T ’19)—has been chosen to showcase their work in the Rookie category at the Busan Indie Connect Festival, commonly known as BIC Festival.
Since its inception in 2022, Team BBB, with the backing of the department’s SCG (Small Creator Group) initiative, has been churning out games distinguished by their unique concepts and top-notch quality. Monowave is an emotion theory-based puzzle adventure game. It unfolds the tale of Mono, a hero who channels the resonances of emotions, aiming to calm the emotional spirits and rescue the world. Players step into the shoes of Mono, mingling with diverse creatures to decipher puzzles, exploring a realm cloaked in mystery.
The BIC Festival, recognized as a foremost indie game event globally, celebrates exceptional feats in the gaming realm annually. Slated to run from August 25th to 27th, it’s taking place at BEXCO in Busan, featuring offline exhibits and live demos. This offers indie game makers a unique platform to spotlight their creations for an international audience, also inviting an array of feedback from numerous users.
