팀 무아레는 다양한 정체성이 거듭 포개진 상태를 ‘겹’, 겹이 만들어낸 무늬와 흔적을 ‘결’이라고 생각하였다. <겹과 결>은 한 사람 내면에 존재하는 다양한 자아의 모습을 발견하고 포용해가는 과정을 양자역학의 개념(양자 얽힘, 중첩, 입자성과 파동성, 연속과 불연속 등)과 연결하는 작업이 다. 우리 모두는 내면에 중첩된 다중자아를 가지고 있으며 각자가 살아가는 공간과 관계 속에서 자아의 흔적을 남기는 존재이다. 양자역학과 자아는 각각 과학과 주체의 가장 본질의 것을 다룬다는 점에서 일맥상통한다. 또한 이 둘은 관찰 불가능한 미시세계를 다루는 양자역학과 보이지 않는 내면의 자아라는 점에서 공통 점을 가진다. 이런 특징을 미술의 기본 요소인 점, 선, 면을 활용한 영상으로 표현하고자 하며, 퍼 포먼스로 스토리를 전개하고자 한다.

Team Moiré sees an individual’s shape as a ‘Singlet’, and the various identities that exist within it as ‘Multiplet’. <Singlet & Multiplet> connects the process of discovering and embracing various aspects of ego with quantum mechanics. We all have multiple egos that overlap inside, and the egos leave traces on the relationships we form and the space we live. Quantum mechanics and ego are aligned in the sense that they both discuss the nature of science and philosophy. They also share common ground on it being imperceivable; quantum mechanics regard the microscopic world, and ego is our invisible, internal self. Team Moiré expresses these characteristics through video using the basic elements of art—points, lines, and planes—and narrates the story through performance.
