Abstract
나는 자연과 인간의 상호작용환경과 기술의 급변하는 관계 속에서 감각의 역사와 공유된 기억을 추적하며, 탐구해왔다.
플래니터리 위빙(Planetary Weaving)을 제안하며, ‘위빙’을 물리적 엮임을 넘어 데이터, 시간, 공간, 관계를 직조하는 행위와 감각환경, 인터페이스로 확장하는 작업을 해나가고있다.
지속적인 프로젝트 탄하무(Tanhamu) 및 최근 작업들을 소개하며, 실무 과정에서 AI 기반 이미지 생성이 시간의 흐름에 따라 어떻게 변형되고, 그것이 감각적 경험과 연결되는지에 대한 연구를 공유한다.
이를 바탕으로, 동시대 디지털 위빙의 경험적 생태계, 환경 간의 공생적 연결, 그리고 포스트-AI 시대의 인터페이스와 감각을 탐색하는 과정에 대한 논의를 확장한다.

Bio
Hwang Sun-jeong is a contemporary artist and new media composer exploring the interplay between post-humanism, technology, and ecological systems.
Through interdisciplinary research, Hwang integrates sound, AI, generative coding, and audiovisual installations, weaving organic and technological elements into multisensory environments that function as critical interfaces.
These works expand sensory perception and speculative interfaces, deepening engagement with the evolving relationships among nature, technology, and post-human existence.
The research-based practice Planetary Weaving synthesizes data, time, and materiality, intertwining them within ecological and technological systems and the framework of Collective Embodied Cognition.
Hwang’s works have been presented at SeMA (Seoul Museum of Art), Art Center Nabi, ACC (Asia Culture Center), IBS, Taipei Digital Art Festival C-Lab, and more. Recognized by ISEA 2023 (Paris), Future Tense (Hong Kong), and as a SONGEUN Art Award finalist, Hwang has performed live sound and audiovisual works at UKAI Project (Toronto), Prectxe, Tokyo TDSW, and Mutek JP+MX. Currently, Hwang is a Transmediale Resident for 2025.
